Allerthorpe Lakeland Park is set in 53 acres of grounds and lakes. A wide variety of watersports are offered as well as a campsite, and Lakeside cafe.
The Lakeside Café serves delicious breakfasts, lunches, cakes and scones which are home-made on the premises; many of the ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. Specialty tea and coffee can be enjoyed whilst relaxing on the decking over looking the lake.
Local public houses are The Plough Inn at Allerthorpe and the Melbourne Arms in Melbourne which are within short driving distance.
Plenty of local walks off site and places to visit in the local wolds town of Pocklington including the canals and Burnby Hall gardens. There are plenty of free local visitor guides and leaflets on reception.
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is the fastest growing sport in the world for good reason. It’s loads of fun, a great workout, and most importantly, anyone can do it because it’s easy to learn. Allowing participants both the freedom and exhilaration of being on a board, with the added benefits associated with the fitness required.
Sailing boats can be hired fully rigged ready for use, or assisted rigging if the hirer wishes to rig the boat. Sailing is now only available out of main season, due to the Aqua Park on the main lake.
The Aqua Park is an inflatable obstacle course on the lake includes a variety of challenging elements for everyone to enjoy. It includes a Thunderdome and Gravity Corners.
